Tired of the usual gallery hop? So were we. SideQuest Thursdays is Woodstock’s new bi-monthly Geek Culture ZA takeover. Hosted inside the industrial halls of Woodstock Brewery, we’re blending a curated art exhibition with a makers' market and a dedicated table top gaming area.

Whether you’re hunting for rare loot, looking for a place to roll dice, or just want a pint and some good food among like-minded people, this is your side quest.

The Experience

🎨 Portal to Creation Immerse yourself in bespoke offerings from local, curated artists: find inspiration, stand in awe or become a patron of the arts! Support local artists and find your next favorite piece.

🛍️ The Loot Drop Market Browse a selection of 20 hand-picked vendors selling everything from comics and collectibles to apparel and handmade dice. Fill your inventory with unique gear you won't find in malls.

🎲 Court of Games and Gathering Bring your own board games, grab a deck of Magic: The Gathering, or join a casual RPG session. We’ve set aside dedicated tables for gaming & trading, so you can settle in without worrying about space. (Want a guaranteed spot for your D&D group? Check out our Table Bookings below).

🍻 Quest Rations (Food & Drink) Woodstock Brewery is fully operational during the event. Grab a burger, order a tasting flight of their best craft beers, or stick to the classics. No need to go hungry while you browse.

Secure a table for your party If you are planning to run a D&D one-shot, host a board game night, or just want a guaranteed home base for your crew, we recommend booking a table.

• Medium Table (Seats 5-6): R150

• Large Table (Seats 7-8): R200

Includes:

• Entrance for your party members

• Reserved seating for the whole night (18:00 – 21:30)

• A "Reserved" sign with your group name

Call for Vendors

Want to Sell Your Stuff? We are looking for vendors selling comics, collectibles, TCGs, apparel, 3D printed gear, and geek merchandise.

• Cost: R300 per stall.

• Includes: 1.8m table space (Map position assigned on arrival).

• Note: This is a "Cash & Carry" market. If you are an artist looking to exhibit a gallery piece, please see the "Call for Artists" section instead.

Exhibit your work at Cape Town’s geekiest bi-monthly event. We are curating a diverse exhibition featuring everything from traditional illustration to Gundam builds and cosplay armour.

Why Exhibit?

• It’s Free: No submission fees. No "hanging" fees.

• Zero Commission: You handle your own sales. We take 0%.

What We Are Looking For

We welcome submissions in the following categories:

• 2D Art: Illustration, Digital Prints, Ink, Painting.

• 3D & Maker: Sculpture, 3D Prints, Props & Armour.

• Miniatures: Warhammer/D&D minis (single or squads), Dioramas, Gunpla (Gundam), and Custom Action Figures.
